Christmas Day!

Christmas was so much fun! Since we were all staying in the same room Ethan decided when we were all going to wake up. It was early! We had so much fun playing with everybody's toys all day long! The Wii fit was especially a hit. I got a sewing machine from my parents. Eric got a I-pod car adapter from them too. We bought a camera for our gift to each other! Ethan was especially spoiled, but he had a lot of fun. I think that the wrapping paper might have been his favorite part...go figure. We are so sad that the Christmas season is over, but are excited for next year!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house during the day. We had lots of fun playing games and eating soup! We put on a Nativity play/musical. It was a lot of fun, Eric and I even had a duet...yeah, that was kind of funny. On the night of Christmas Eve night we went back to my parent's house and got ready for Santa to come! We left out all of the good stuff and we read some stories together. My family has a tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve, and it is always pajamas. This year my mom went to a lot of work and made us all matching pajama pants with aggie T-shirts! They turned out super cute. Ethan and Devin even got silly "Rambo" head bands out of the extra fabric. We also opened our "Secret Sibling" presents! Every year we draw a secret sibling. We do nice things for them all through out December and then we give them a present on Christmas Eve. This year I had ALexis and Eric had Amanda. Eric gave Amanda this funny wand.Amanda thought it was her real present for a minute but then Eric fessed up and gave her a coupon to go out to lunch. It was really funny! We finished off the night with our traditional family sleepover!

Christmas Buffet

Eric's family got to come and spend some time in Logan for the holidays! We had a blast spending time with them and we even got to do their traditional Christmas Eve buffet...even though it was a little early. The food was great, we were spoiled with presents, and we had tons of fun hanging out while they were here!

Temple Square

While Eric's family was here we went to Salt Lake to see the lights and eat at P.F Changs. It was great! Ethan just stared at the lights, I think he was in awe! It was beautiful. P.F Changs was delicious. We had a wonderful time!
Above is the exact spot where Eric proposed to me!

Olson Family Christmas Party

We went to the Christmas party on my Dad's side of the family. It was great! Each family wore a different color of shirt and we all wore tie dye! Ethan's shirt was tie-dyed about one hour before the party started and it turned out a little pink, but it's still cute! We had the party in a church gym. It was so fun! We had an intense basketball tournament! Santa even came to the party and brought Ethan a present!

Ugly Sweater Party

We went to an Ugly Sweater Party with some friends in our ward. We found some great items at the D.I. Ethan is sporting a classic 80's baby sweater while Eric is wearing the five sizes to small Christmas Ensemble. Eric also won a contest at work for this wonderful article of clothing. We also found some pretty sweet white elephant gifts for the party. A few of the people at the party are really good at music so we had some great entertainment. The party was at the house of one of our friends' parents. They were out of town. Their house was so cool! There were a playhouse and a trampoline inside! It was like a dream. We had a blast!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

For awhile Ethan was afraid of the tub. We had no idea why, but he would scream everytime we put him in his little bath seat. We started giving him his baths sitting up in the real bath tub. He suddenly loves his baths again. He splashes around so much. It is so cute. I guess he was trying to tell us that he was ready to move on to the big tub!

Teaching

I am now teaching Kindergarten! I have been teaching since just before Thanksgiving and I love it! I am having a blast and learning a lot. I have two of the cutest classes ever. Ihad no idea that teaching would be so hard though! It is so nice to have my mom around to watch Ethan. I miss him so much during the day! This is a bulletin board that has been up in the classroom. The little chain above it was a behavior tracker thing where they got to add a link when they were being good!

Meeting Santa

Santa came to our ward Christmas party. He and Ethan got along pretty well. Especially, since Santa gave Ethan a candy cane that we let him try.

Ode to McCall

Hi everyone, this is Eric making my periodic appearance (and no McCall, you’re not allowed to delete this). I just want to take a moment to let you know how wonderful McCall is! I’m afraid I don’t do enough to show my gratitude and love for my beautiful wife.

I am so very blessed to be married to such a wonderful woman. McCall is so considerate, and she is the kindest person I have ever met. McCall is a fabulous mother, and an excellent lover (haha I’m a poet… And you my friend, did not know it). McCall is athletic, gorgeous, stylish, fun, optimistic, and extremely spiritual.

McCall amazes me with how she can take such good care of Ethan; be such a wonderful wife; serve so diligently in the church; do so much around the house; think of, care for, and serve everyone around her; never miss a beat with scriptures, prayer, temple attendance, etc.; and put up with me everyday, especially while I am ridiculously stressed working and studying for the LSAT (uhho, the cat’s out of the bag)… And all of this while beginning her new and very busy job as a full-time kindergarten teacher! (and keeping up a blog on top of all that) She truly is Superwoman!

It’s kind of random, but I want to share a couple songs that really exemplify McCall and how she makes me feel. These aren’t the most romantic of songs, or even songs with the most lovey-dovey lyrics, but if you will listen closely to the words, you will see (or rather hear) why I chose these songs to portray my wife and how she makes me feel. Feel free to turn the volume up!

This first song really describes McCall (all but a couple lyrics), and exhibits how I feel about her. (sorry about the swear word)

Her Eyes
By: Pat Monahan

The lyrics and very feeling of this next song is exactly how I feel every time I am around McCall, and even every time I so much as think of her!

Smile
By: Uncle Kracker

You’re the best McCall! I love you! (knock knock)

Ugly Face Contest

Ethan did pretty well in his first Ugly Face Contest. What can we say...our family is talented.
